2010 Average Joe Winners
V.J. Graffeo (with over 125 votes)
I love wings! They are the perfect food and go with any activity – football, late night movies, bowling, baseball, drinking and even breakfast. More importantly, I have OVER 15 YEARS of wing eating experience. My love affair with wings began in high school when I tasted my very first wing at Bob Baumhower's Wings in Birmingham, not too long after it had opened. I had never experienced such a unique and tasty piece of chicken. Who would have thought that pieces of wings, deep friend and smothered with spicy buttery sauce would be so good?! Since the mid 1990s, I have probably visited and tasted over 100 wing varieties and locations across the USA. Whether the wings are hot or mild, jerk or garlic, fried or baked, flats or drums or served with blue cheese or ranch...I love them all! I can also the difference from a great tasting wing and an underperformer. So if you want a judge with experience and the taste buds that can handle a wing contest, then I'm your man! V. J.

First Reason: I'm 6'1", 310lbs...so I look the part.
Second Reason: You mention "stomach of steel"..I got it. Every time we go out of town, I hit up a Wing joint, and I always want to try their Hottest!
3rd Reason: Man vs. Food is on my DVR Preset, I love the "Firery" dishes on that show.
4th Reason: See reason number 1!! I will be your average joe this year, but invited back next year as your "regular" judge.
